Strictly necessary storage

Some cookies and local storage are necessary for the app to remember access, language, offline availability, and basic app preferences.

After access is unlocked, the app may automatically cache unlocked story pages, audio files, images, and a lightweight offline map shortly after payment or access-code redemption. This helps the app work while you are walking in Athens with weak or unavailable mobile data.

  • athens_access: access/entitlement cookie
  • athens_device: device identifier cookie for access-device limits
  • locale storage for language choice
  • PWA install prompt state
  • offline cache and service worker cache
  • audio resume position
  • visited story state
  • selected mode, list, map, and nearby preferences

Analytics

If analytics is enabled, we use it to understand whether visitors open the free story, start checkout, complete purchase, and engage with stories. We do not use analytics to sell personal profiles.

Browser permissions

Location access and push notifications are separate browser permissions. You can allow or deny them in your browser or device settings.

Managing storage

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Clearing app storage may remove saved access on that device, offline stories, audio progress, language choice, and visited-story state.
